FR (Felgen Ripen) / FP (Fringe Protector) / MFS (Maximum Flange Shield): These are all markings that indicate the tire has a special rim protection flange or extended rubber profile running around its circumference. This acts as a buffer to help protect the wheel rim from mechanical damage, such as scuffs and scrapes caused by rubbing against a kerb.
SealTech (SCT): This refers to Goodyear's self-sealing technology, where a special compound or isolation layer inside the tire automatically seals punctures of up to 5 mm in diameter within the tread area. This allows drivers to continue their journey without having to immediately stop or change the tire after a minor puncture, serving as a practical alternative to a spare tire.
EVR (Electric Vehicle Ready): This logo (or EDR for Original Equipment) on the sidewall indicates that the tire is optimized and compatible for use on electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). These tires incorporate technologies like low rolling resistance to maximize range, SoundComfort technology for reduced interior noise, and Mileage Plus technology to handle the increased weight and torque of EVs, which can otherwise lead to faster wear.
